The Classic Chevy Camaro is one of the top old time cars that vintage car collectors love to collect. Well, new car owners are about to get a chance to live it up with a new Chevy Camaro scheduled to come out in 2010.
The new car is a mix of old style with new safety and other features. The shape is reminiscent of the old Camaro, but has a modern feel.
Chevrolet needs all the help it can get right now so let’s hope this flash to the past is just what it needs and brings out the race car lover in moderatly priced new car owners.

My husband was drooling over the classic car magazine we get last night and telling me how he wanted to buy a $300,000 antique car. My first response, as usual, is “that is a lot of money to spend!”. I was thinking you could buy a rental house for that money. Just having read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and turning 45, I have been thinking more and more about our net worth.
My next though was “Is a classic car an expense or an asset?”. I realized that it can be either, depending on how you treat the car. If you keep it well stored and don’t drive it so much that it gets worn down again after restoration, then, unlike my day-to-day driven Prius, it is definetly an asset that will hold it’s value relative to inflation if not gain in value relative to inflation.
So, now I am thinking of adding a classic car to my future portfolio as soon as my garage gets rebuilt and I can afford it!
